Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Lead
  
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly accomplished Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Lead Analyst / Engineer / Architect to lead enterprise ERP initiatives across global business environments. This role requires a professional with deep expertise in requirements analysis, solution design, and global ERP delivery, along with a strong command of Dynamics 365 F&O native capabilities.
  
The ideal candidate will bring a strong Dynamics background and a proven ability to lead organizations through complex transformation initiatives by driving business process alignment, solution standardization, and scalable architecture. This individual will serve as a key partner to business and technology leadership, ensuring that solutions are strategically aligned, operationally effective, and built on Dynamics 365 F&O native functionality and best practices.
  
Key Responsibilities
  
Business Analysis & Requirements Leadership

• Lead comprehensive requirements gathering, discovery workshops, and process analysis across finance, supply chain, operations, and other enterprise business functions
• Translate complex business needs into clear functional, technical, and architectural requirements
• Drive fit-gap analysis with an emphasis on leveraging Dynamics 365 F&O native capabilities before considering extensions or customizations
• Partner with global business stakeholders to standardize and optimize business processes across regions, business units, and legal entities
• Ensure requirements are documented with clarity, traceability, and alignment to strategic business objectives

Solution Design & Native Dynamics Expertise

• Provide leadership in the design of scalable, maintainable, and business-aligned Dynamics 365 F&O solutions
• Demonstrate deep expertise in Dynamics 365 F&O native mode / standard functionality, including best-practice use of:

• • Financial Management

• • Procurement and Sourcing

• • Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

• • General Ledger / Fixed Assets

• • Inventory Management

• • Warehouse Management

• • Production / Manufacturing

• • Master Planning

• • Project Operations (as applicable)

• Champion an “adopt over adapt” mindset, ensuring the organization fully leverages standard D365 functionality before pursuing custom development
• Evaluate when extensions, integrations, or customizations are truly necessary based on business value, maintainability, and long-term platform strategy

Global Delivery & Enterprise Transformation

• Lead or support global ERP implementations, rollouts, harmonization efforts, and transformation programs
• Work across multiple geographies, business units, and time zones to define consistent processes while accommodating valid regional requirements
• Support global solution design for areas such as:

• • Multi-company / multi-entity structures

• • Multi-currency and global financial operations

• • Intercompany processing

• • Localization requirements

• • Regional compliance and governance

• Collaborate with global leadership teams to drive adoption, governance, and enterprise-wide process maturity

Architecture, Engineering & Technical Leadership

• Oversee the technical design of D365 F&O solutions, ensuring strong alignment between business processes and system architecture
• Provide leadership across:

• • Solution architecture

• • Extensions framework

• • Integration design

• • Data migration strategy

• • Environment and release management

• Work closely with developers and technical teams on:

• • X++

• • Azure integrations

• • Power Platform enablement

• • APIs and middleware solutions

• Ensure technical solutions support performance, scalability, security, and long-term supportability

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

• Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, program sponsors, and IT leadership
• Facilitate decision-making around scope, solution tradeoffs, and process standardization
• Communicate complex solution concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Mentor analysts, consultants, engineers, and functional leads across the ERP landscape
• Support change management, training, testing strategy, and user adoption initiatives

Required Qualifications
Experience

• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Proven success in Lead Analyst, Solution Engineer, Architect, or ERP Delivery Lead roles
• Strong EDO background with demonstrated ownership of enterprise-scale solution delivery and business transformation initiatives
• Extensive experience in requirements analysis, business process mapping, and solution blueprinting
• Proven experience supporting or leading global ERP programs spanning multiple countries, entities, or regions
• Strong track record of delivering solutions using Dynamics 365 F&O native functionality

Functional & Business Expertise

• Deep understanding of core Dynamics 365 F&O modules and enterprise process flows
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve business operations through standard platform capabilities
• Strong experience with:

• • Manufacturing or distribution environments

• Experience with process harmonization across global organizations

Technical & Architecture Skills
